The picture that started it all!
(Spot the real Pete!)
Pete is a friend of mine, and when he retired, some of his friends went out for a lunch with him. As a joke I had made everyone a Pete mask and took a photo.
Driving home afterwards, I realised that because Pete is not willing to leave his dogs, he has travelled very little. So I thought if he could not travel, then at least his 'head' could. I started taking it with me on my travels. I usually co-opted a member of my family to provide the 'body'. I then asked other people to spread the word, and take a 'head' with them.
I should like to thank the following for helping this site to exist:
My long suffering wife and son.
Ann Stocks, Pete's Head enthusiast in Leeds.
Linda Cassells, Joyce Wright and Shona Cook, promoting Pete's Head in Scotland.
All the people who have sent in photos or stood in as 'Pete'
But above all Pete himself without whom all this would not be possible.
